About Me
Hi, I'm Kim Coleman. I am very pleased to be teaching in Vaughn for my third year! I was raised in a large family, on the Montana high line. I started teaching early...when I was a pre-teen I taught my brother how to read. I taught preschool for two years at Helena Christian School and then came to teach Early Kindergarten at Vaughn for the 2015-2016 school year. I have been trained as a Kindermusik Educator and did teach Kindermusik for two years in Helena, MT. I am currently completing my Elementary Education Degree with Grand Canyon University. I have two wonderful sons who attend Vaughn school also. Dominic is in seventh grade and Michael is in sixth grade.
Living life is learning
I believe that students learn well in a structured, calm, environment wherein they feel valued. Students are individuals and learn in their own way. My philosophy is that it is my job to learn about your child and how he/she learns then provide every means possible for them to learn, experience, grow, create, and enjoy. School is not just about academic enhancement but it is also about social and behavioral growth as well. Preparation for life as an adult takes place while living life as a child. I believe that learning while living life can be a very fun and rewarding experience. I shall do my up-most to help them live and learn wonderful things while in my care.
